Stages of Life
This laser-cut boxes project , which takes inspirations from vintage dollhouses, depicts the life of man through six different stages in life: Infancy, Childhood, Adolescence, Early adulthood, Middle age, and Older age. The highlight of the project is the design and use of wallpapers on each box, which helps communicating the narrative of each stage, at the same time creates that vintage dollhouse look. The laser-cut tunnel book acts as the mini world of all 6 stages, which is constructed in such a way that when you look THROUGH it it gives the effect of looking at a 3-D landscape. Each page is carefully designed to layer nicely on top of each other and create a harmonised look and feel.
